Oahu Golf Courses
Luana Hills Golf Course
18 Holes; Par 72; 6595 yards.
From
front nine to back nine you journey from wide open spaces on hillsides below the
magic mountain of Olomana, to dense tropical jungle that showcases Hawaiian
flora and birds. Located in the back of beautiful Maunawili Valley on the
windward side of Oahu, Luana Hills Country Club is the first course in Hawaii
designed by Perry Dye and his famous brother, Pete - one of the most
accomplished golf architects in America. Luana Hills measures just 6,595 yards
from the back tees, but its relatively modest length belies the challenge that
lies ahead. The Dye brothers made sure to incorporate many of their trademark
design features, including a variety of forced carries off the tee, bunkers
bordered by railroad ties, par-3's over water to island greens, and fairways
that fall off steeply into bunkers and ravines. Luana Hills is set in awesome
natural surroundings beneath the deep green folds of the Ko'olau Mountains. The
front nine plays across the lower slopes of Mount Olomana, while the back nine
wends its way through a tropical rainforest with dramatic changes in elevation.
Local residences refer to it as "Jurassic Park" because there are few signs of
civilization, only the surrounding forest and the mountain peaks overhead.

Located
west of Pearl Harbor, in Sunny Kapolei, Oahu's second city, the par-72
championship layout is beautifully landscaped with floral gardens, thousands of
coconut palms, and five expansive lakes. Architect Ted Robinson, who is known
for his creative use of water, moved massive amounts of dirt to create the lakes
and to provide elevation and contouring for the course. Altogether the lakes
come into play on 12 holes, and, in addition to being aesthetically pleasing,
serve an important environmental function, catching storm run-off from the
surrounding terrain. Kapolei measures 7,001 yards from the back tees, but with
multiple tee positions the course can be enjoyed by all levels of golfers. More
than 80 bunkers, elevated greens, and gently contoured fairways add to the
challenge. Opened in 1995, Kapolei occupies 185 acres of former sugar cane lands
at the southern end of the Waianae Mountains. It is just 24 miles from Waikiki.
The course features five strategically placed lakes, undulated fairways, and
elevated greens, providing a challenging and enjoyable round for both men and
women of varying skills. Also available to avid golfers is our spacious driving

Turtle Bay Fazio Course
18 Holes; Par 72; 7199 yards.
Poised on the
northernmost tip of Oahu, Turtle Bay Country Club is the perfect choice for the
golfer who wants to escape the bustle of Honolulu and Waikiki. This secluded
North Shore resort is named after the bay it overlooks, which is visited each
year by green sea turtles that come to nest in Turtle Bay's pristine waters. The
George Fazio Course has hosted the LPGA Tour's Hawaiian Open and was the site of
the first Senior Skins Game, which included Arnold Palmer, Chi Chi Rodriquez,
Gary Player and Sam Sneed. The course, George Fazio's only golf course in
Hawaii, features generous fairways, deep bunkers and immaculately sculpted
greens. This course was re-opened in the spring of 2002. Because of the growing
popularity of golf at the resort offers a full range of water sports such as
wind surfing and scuba diving. Guests can also enjoy five-star tennis courts,
two swimming pools, volleyball, and horseback riding. Those looking for less
strenuous pleasures can take advantage of three different cocktail lounges and

Turtle Bay Palmer Course
18 Holes; Par 72; 7199 yards.
Poised
on the northernmost tip of Oahu, Turtle Bay Country Club is the perfect choice
for the golfer who wants to escape the bustle of Honolulu and Waikiki. This
secluded North Shore resort is named after the bay it overlooks, which is
visited each year by green sea turtles that come to nest in Turtle Bay's
pristine waters. The Palmer Course at Turtle Bay Resort is an 18-hole
championship golf course designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay. When played from
the Palmer (black) tees, the course will offer a stern challenge to the best
players in the world. However, there are five sets of tees on each hole, and in
some cases, six. This ensures that the course can be enjoyed by any caliber of
golfer. The Palmer Course at Turtle Bay Resort features two distinctly different
experiences. The front nine is nearly devoid of trees and shrubs. It features
sand, water, wind, and rolling terrain. The back nine plays through a forest of
ironwood pines and offers a very different feel. The 17th hole is unquestionably
the signature hole on the course with no less than nine craggy bunkers
surrounding the landing area and extending all the way up to the green. The 17th
green sits on a plateau only 100 feet from the ocean. Because of the growing
popularity of golf at the resort offers a full range of water sports such as
wind surfing and scuba diving. Guests can also enjoy five-star tennis courts,
two swimming pools, volleyball, and horseback riding. Those looking for less
strenuous pleasures can take advantage of three different cocktail lounges and
three restaurants. The golf course has a driving range, a putting green, a fully
stocked pro shop, and a clubhouse with a snack bar and shower rooms.

Ko Olina Golf Club
18 Holes; Par 72; 6887 yards
Ko
Olina is considered one of Hawaii's top courses. Opened in 1990, Ko Olina has
been recognized by Golf Digest as one of the "Top 75 Resort Courses in the
U.S.". Ko Olina has also been host to the LPGA Tour (1990-1995) and the Senior
PGA Tour (1992). The course includes 16 water features on 8 different holes,
multi-tiered greens, and well-manicured fairways. Ko Olina will challenge

greens and gentle tradewinds. Large landing areas and varying lengths from the
tees allow Ko Olina to accommodate players of all skill levels. Water is the
defining feature at the beautiful Ko Olina Golf Club, located only 25 miles from
Honolulu on Oahu's sunny southwest tip. Ted Robinson, a designer best known for
his "waterscapes," took former sugar cane lands and moved more than a million
cubic yards of dirt to create Ko Olina. He added moundings and contours,
elevated tees and greens, and planted more than a thousand stately coconut palms
and other trees. And, true to his trademark, he added lots of water. Waterfalls
feed into streams that widen into pools that become lakes From the back tees Ko
Olina measures 6,867 yards and is superbly maintained, with wide fairways and
well-bunkered, multi-tiered greens.
New Ewa Beach Golf Course
18 Holes; Par 72; 6541 yards.

The New Ewa Beach Golf Club is an alluring semi-private golf
course, tucked away in a forest of kiawe (Key-ah-vae) trees. The signature hole
on this course is #13, a 187-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot into the wind and
over water. The greens are medium-sized and the course is not too difficult for
the average golfer.
As you play your way across the environmentally friendly turf, you are certain
to see Hawaiian stilts (the Ae'o), an endangered species indigenous the area,
also enjoying the beautiful course.
Convenient parking, a warm and friendly staff, a clubhouse with full dining
facilities, and a complete pro shop await you
Makaha Resort Golf Club
18 Holes; Par 72; 7077 yards
Golfers will enjoy not only the
challenging play but the beautifully landscaped links. Strutting peacocks and
well-placed ponds, palm trees, and bougainvillea provide constant visual
delights. The course takes full advantage of the natural splendors of the Makaha
Valley, following the valley's graceful contours, and winding past fern-covered
glens. The jewel- like course is framed by the Waianae Mountain Range, with the
awesome Mt. Kaala, which rises almost vertically for more than 5,000 feet above
the valley floor, visible from every hole. Between rounds, players can refresh
themselves at the 19TH Hole Snack Bar, which offers informal dining next to the
fountain-fed pool. Or they can watch the sunset over cocktails in the Kanakapili
Lobby Lounge. The Peacock Restaurant in the Kaala Dining Room, opens daily for
breakfast, lunch and dinner that serves a wide range of continental favorites.
But the championship golf course is the Resort's top attraction. A long par-72
that stretches 7,077 yards from the back tees, the course is acclaimed as one of
the finest in Hawaii. The Makaha Resort Golf Club is one of only three resorts
on Oahu with golf courses, and was the first to be built. William P. Bell
designed the championship course layout, in 1966. Since the Makaha Resort Golf
Club opened, some holes have been altered from Bell's design to accommodate new
construction, but the resulting holes are considered at least as good as the
originals. A large lake has been added in front of the number 16 green, and a
state-of-the-art sprinkling system has
been installed throughout. The
artificial lakes are fed by a reservoir that also supplies the water for the
fairways and greens. There are four par-three holes, ten par-four holes, and
four par-five holes, and the course is studded with a proliferation of bunkers
and nine small lakes. Today the layout is fully mature and the dense foliage and
undergrowth that line the fairways reflects the care that has been lavished on
it for decades. The par-four number 5 hole, which measures 427 yards from the
middle tee, has fairly earned its number-one handicap rating. The undulating
fairway presents a gradual incline from front to back, with a slight dogleg to
the right. The tee shot must cross a creek, and the fairways are bordered by
trees to the right and two bunkers. Two more bunkers guard the slightly
elevated, two-tiered green. Adding to the challenge, the golfer is generally
hitting into a crosswind. Five bunkers protect the green on the 9th hole, which
features a kidney- shaped pond to the right that veers in front of the green. At
147 yards, this par-three hole is the shortest on the course. The 520-yard,
par-five 14th is another tough hole. "You're hitting directly into the wind,"
says THE director of golf.
"It's out-of- bounds on the left
with a fairway bunker. On the right you have a water hazard waiting for any
errant second shots. The green is small and medium-fast with two bunkers coming
into play. The left out-of-bounds is relatively close." You will also find some
strange phenomena on the course. The terrain appears to rise up when it's
actually sloping down and players experience other visual distortions when
standing on the greens. These anomalies may be contributed to "the slope of the
valley, the mountain shadows, or even perhaps Makaha's ghost."
Hawaii Prince Golf Club

former sugar land. There are 270 acres of stunning views of the rain-carved

The
Championship Course measures 6614 yards from the championship tee and features
wide fairways, large greens with well placed bunkers, and beautiful sceneries.

fun is a round of golf on this challenging course, whether played from the
regular or championship tees. Always in excellent condition this popular
Oceanside course boasts the largest greens in the state with deep bunkers
surrounding the greens. Every tee on the Championship course offers a view of
the Makapuu Cliffs, Pacific Ocean and the rugged eastern Oahu coastline. Wind is
a significant factor of the Championship Course. For most golfers who are not

holes which play into the wind. Hawaii Kai Golf Course does not accept
reservations for single players.
